Useful Websites and Books
Here are some websites I've found while learning more about social skills.
Social Thinking
This website provides a lot of resources about social skills. It was created by Michelle Garcia Winner, who came up with the term "Social Thinking". She has developed treatments and curriculum programs that help individuals become better at communicating and interacting with other people. The site also offers a "Books & Products" tab where you can purchase Michelle Garcia Winner's books and other useful products by age ranges (Preschool to Adult). |
Do2Learn
This website is awesome! It has tons of resources for teaching social skills including lessons plans and graphic organizers. This site also has many other educational resources you can choose to download and use in your classroom. |
TeachTown
This website provides information on the TeachTown Basics and Social Skills software and lesson plans. These programs can be for home or school use.
Not only do these software programs enhance social skills but they also work on language, communication, and emotional development.
* TeachTown has to be purchased from the company.
